You do not need to learn every SEO term before reviewing a website. Begin with what the business offers, the questions customers ask and the way a visitor becomes an enquiry. This checklist turns the basics into a manageable first review.

Write Down The Goal

Choose the service or product you want to support. Decide what a useful enquiry looks like and which page should help a customer make that decision. This keeps the review connected to the business rather than a ranking score.

Read The Page As A Customer

Can someone understand the offer without knowing your company already? Check the title, main heading, service details and next step. Remove confusing wording and add the important information people repeatedly request.

Follow The Links

Open the page from the main navigation and from a relevant article. Check that the links describe where they lead. A useful page should not depend on a visitor guessing its address.

Test The Mobile Journey

Use a phone to read the page and try the intended action. Look for overflow, difficult controls, missing content or a form that is hard to complete. Technical improvements should address actual problems.

Record A Baseline

Use your available search and enquiry data to establish the starting point. Note when changes are made and allow comparisons to account for seasonality and other activity. Improve one clear weakness at a time, and seek specialist help when technical problems exceed your experience.
